or nearly 90 years, the Alpha Xi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta has welcomed some of the finest young women into a
sisterhood unlike any other.
Throughout the decades, Gamma Phi Betas at SMU have been genuine, authentic, and accepting individuals who follow the
same values that have benefitted nearly 2,100 sisters to date—Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty.
For women arriving at Southern Methodist University, finding a place in the chapter meant forging friendships, developing
leadership skills, and preparing to launch their lives and careers, and to make significant impacts on the world.
