The somewhat thin story finds Irving's title character being recruited by hapless streetball team manager Dax Winslow (Lil Rel Howery). 8 p.m. on LIFE Movie: Death of a Cheerleader Kellie Martin fans who remem- ber her 1994 TV movie "A Friend to Die For" will recog- nize the main story elements in this 2019 remake, which chronicles a true-crime saga in which a lonely teenager (Aubrey Peeples, in Martin's old role) reacts in dire fashion when her attempt to befriend a popular high school peer is rebuffed. This time around, Martin takes the role of an FBI agent tasked with investigating the crime that ensues. 9 p.m. on WSBT 6 NFL Honors On the eve of Super Bowl LIII, the NFL dishes out their annual awards. Among them, of course, is the league MVP. Perhaps equally prestigious is the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, which honors a player's excellence on and off the field, especially with philanthropy work. J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans was last year's winner. Watt was recognized for his fundraising efforts in the wake of Hurri- cane Harvey. 9 p.m. on SHOW Movie: 7 Days in Entebbe Jose Padilha's 2018 action thriller chronicles the events and personalities that made up Operation Entebbe, a 1978 incident in which two Palestin- ian and two German tourists hijacked an Air France flight en route from Tel Aviv to Paris and held the passengers — 53 Palestinian and pro-Palestin- ian militants — for ransom.
