I love this prov- erb: "The Best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." Not that I totally agree with this proverb; maybe the second best time would have been 19 years ago! But, anyhow... If you planted that tree all those years ago, you'd have a beautiful mature tree today. We can't go back in time, but we can start a new proj- ect, make goals, (or plant a tree) today that will grow and fl ourish... so what are you waiting for? As we begin the new year, many of us use this time to refl ect upon the past and make an effort to improve ourselves. According to research, about 40 to 45 percent of American adults set at least one resolution come New Year's Day. "The beginning of the year offers a fresh start and a clean slate," according to Nona Jordan, a coach who's known as the "business yogini" and helps female entrepre- neurs improve their business. Some research confi rms that set- ting a resolution can get you closer to your goals. One study found that 46 percent of individuals who made resolutions were success- ful compared to four percent who wanted to achieve a certain goal and considered it but didn't actu- ally create a resolution. Let us resolve to live a good life, a full life, a loving life – a life that is worthy of having said at the end our days, "Yes, I have lived." Let us all resolve to live; to be as happy as we can be; to do as much as we can with what we have, to endure what we must, and to enjoy this gift that we have been given. So what are you waiting for? "You could Be Anywhere, Doing Anything, and You are Here Doing This, Thank You" ~ Robert Greygrass (thank you from me too!) "The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." – Proverb (Chinese or African)
