Dance to our music EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT at the Quartzsite Senior Center! 7:00 -9:00 pm $4.00 This has been an overwhelmingly positive Christmas season for us. There are so many to thank for all the generosity extended to our programs. It is hard to express in words the blessing that have been bestowed to us. Our Red Kettle Campaign was so successful because of our ringers; QPD Chief Ponce, Amber, Cheryl & Ruth, Cookie & Margaret, Diane, QPD Explorers & Sargent Conley, Lance, Mark, Maryann & Chris, trumpet player Ray, visiting fl ute player, our store shoppers and the folks that gave extra $$ or checks. You all made this Red Kettle Cam- paign a humongous success. Final tabulation is $6086.00. This grand total is astonishing. THANKS EV- ERYONE who gave!! Now let's see how many kids we can send to summer camp and oth- er local assistance that can be used with these funds. 100% of the funds raised stay in Quartzsite. Ring a bell…we can change a life. Thanks, are extended to our local businesses; Coyote Fresh, Family Dollar, Herb's Hardware, HCB Bank, Post Offi ce and Roadrunner for allowing our bell ringers. Corporate Dollar Gener- al sent us a $1000.00 check, as their rules for bell ringers has changed. Thanks to all those that so generous- ly put money into the kettles. Our Santa Event on Saturday was fantastic. We had 95, maybe more kids get pictures with Santa and visit his toy shop. They went home with choices that included new backpacks, school supplies, pajamas, socks, hats, gloves, blan- kets, food, hoodies, and of course all sorts of toys, stuffed animals, games, and more. Penny from Ari- zona Children's Association had a fun craft and Dinosaur Santa book for each child. Ancil Aycelott Santa and Cookie Mrs. Claus were both super. Margaret and Cheryl did the picture taking and developing and Ruth tried to keep up with the head count. Our elf assistants to supercal- ifragilistic Santa Tree elf Jan were; Bill, Carolyn, Christy, Dee, Jackie, Joan, Karen, Nancy, Patt, Richard, Roger, Ruth, Sandy, and Tina. The four QPD Explorers Celeste, Con- ner, Gina, and Vincent with Sargent Conley did a great job of bell ring- ing, greeting everyone with "Merry Christmas" and taking care of the barricades for us. You all were in- credible. Thank you! Our Angel Tree event was also un- believable. QFD, Mrs. Cookie Claus and Santa Kenneth Meeks made a lot of children happy with the deliv- ery of our 115 packages. A lot of An- gel Wings were earned by our shop- pers that went shopping for these children. Additionally, the VFW Freedom Riders brought truckloads of toys that we graciously accepted and added to gift bags and had for Santa Event. Monetary donations, toys, and food were donated by Coyote Fresh, Covenant Lutheran Church, Desert Flyers, Eve's Place, Rainbow Acres Christmas Boutique, Silly Al's, QFD Auxiliary. The Christmas season has been unbelievable. Heartfelt thanks to this amazing community ad espe- cially our dedicated volunteers for all your support. It takes a framily to do all we do, and we certainly are blessed with the best. We will be closed Saturday, Jan- uary 12th, 2019 for training. We are looking into developing a Salvation Army Disaster Services Team. Remember to follow us on Face- book. We try to put notices of im- portance on this page. Our LIKES are now over 100!! Forgive anyone who has caused you pain or harm. Keep in mind that forgiving is not for others. It is for you. Forgiving is not forgetting. It is remembering without anger. It frees up your power, heals your body, mind and spirit. Forgiveness opens up a pathway to a new place of peace where you can persist despite what has happened to you. ~L.
