ΣΦΕ The SigEp Seminole FLORIDA EPSILON s FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY s SIGMA PHI EPSILON Fall 2018 INSIDE: Loyal Brothers 2 s Donor Spotlight 3 s '70s Reunion 2-3 s Alumni News 4 What Did Florida Epsilon Give to You— What Can You Give Back to Florida Epsilon? Alumni, It Is Time to Answer the Call I t's a great time to be a SigEp brother at Florida State University. Our undergraduate members are setting a high standard for fra- ternity men. The Florida Epsilon alumni leadership is commit- ted to creating an environment that builds resilient life skills in young men and gives them the competitive edge for career advancement in a purpose-driven life. We know if we do our best, we can provide a life-changing experience that propels academic success and prepares young men for life after college. Return to Campus is not just a campaign slogan, but a necessary next step on our path to build the leading fraternity at Florida State. We need a proper gathering space in the heart of campus for these impor- tant fraternity activities that will build Balanced Men. For construction to start, we are asking every brother to answer the call and give back to the campaign. To fulfill our potential, our broth- erhood must work together. To date, we have raised $557,240 toward our $1 million goal. We give sincere and heartfelt thanks to those who have already contributed. We have more than 1,400 brothers in our database, but we have come this far on the generosity of fewer than 3 percent participating. We didn't dominate on the intramural field or in recruitment with just 3 percent of our brothers participating. This campaign can be no differ- ent, and we know we can improve our participation. To those who have not yet made a gift, we challenge you to reflect on how SigEp has impacted your life and to ensure that experience—or perhaps one even greater—is perpetuated at Florida State. Participa- tion is our main focus and gifts of all levels are much appreciated. The facts below might help in the consideration of your own level of support. Pledges may be stretched over a five-year giving period, if desired. Take advantage of this opportunity to maximize your giving potential. All donors contributing a minimum of $2,500 to the campaign will be recognized on a plaque prominently displayed in the new Chapter House. Naming opportunities are available for gifts over $25,000. In a recent review of our construction plans, our tax attorney identi- fied more educational space than we conservatively estimated. This means we can offer donors pledging $10,000 or more the opportunity to make their gifts 100% tax deductible to the Florida Epsilon fund at the Sigma Phi Epsilon Foundation. The need is real, and the time is now, so please don't wait. Please use the enclosed pledge form to make your contribution to Florida Epsilon today. Just as the generosity of brothers who came before us enabled our memorable undergraduate experience, we owe it to our future brothers to ensure Sigma Phi Epsilon enriches their lives.
