We received two awards this summer at Supreme Chapter; one for Chapter Advisor Walt Dendy '72, and another for the Omicron Club for having the best alumni organization. Brothers Implement Successful Scholarship Plan Scholarship Chairman Tanner Sheffield '16 has worked diligently on his academic program for our newest pledge class. They have been meeting four times a week, with a total of 12 study hours per week. They have attended Get on Board Day, the career fair, and are all taking a mentoring class in addition to having mentors within the Chapter. Members Lend a Helping Hand This year, we hosted the Best Buddies and Arts and Autism events. Our cover band, Sunday Night Special, played in Phi Mu's battle of the bands. We also co-sponsored the B+ Foundation Cookout with ΣΑΕ, Sigma Nu, ΔΚΕ, ΚΔ, and ΚΚΓ, as well as co-sponsor Brews 4 Lou with Phi Delta Theta. We also raised money for the Don Bosco Foundation, which helps children in Africa to receive medical treatment and attend schools. Omicron Welcomes 35 New Members to the Brotherhood This fall, we initiated 35 new Brothers. We had a successful new member program, led by Warden Adam Pflaum '15. Chaplain Scott Urban '15 also introduced a new Bible study program, led by Campus Outreach. We are looking forward to seeing our new members grow and positively contribute to Omicron's legacy. Chapter Ranks in Top Five for Homecoming We were paired with ΑΟΠ for Homecoming and achieved second place overall, but first place in athletics. Our new members led our group to success in both dodgeball and basket- ball as well. We also won the Coca Cola "Block of the Game" for best block seating section in the stadium and are currently undefeated in intramural football. Thank You, Alumni and Parents Omicron hosted a parent's brunch for all new members in order to give parents information about our Chapter, as well as tours of the Chapter House, a breakdown of our dues, and an overview of our accomplishments. During Homecoming weekend, we had Brothers Night Out, including a local cover band, as well as alumni Chapter before the game on Saturday. We were very thankful for the great turnout of alumni at these events. The Chapter is very proud of our accomplish- ments and would like to thank all alumni for continuing to contribute to our one-of-a-kind Omicron brotherhood. Our members aim to build on this strong foundation. We welcome all alumni and friends to stop by the Chapter House and meet some of the Brothers who are working hard to uphold the ideals of our fraternity.
