RV & TOW WIRING SERVICE & REPAIR We'll Tell it to you Straight, in Black & White Mark Fuller 541-497-4956 Have You Considered? In John 3:16 and Eph. 3:9-11 we have the eternal plan of God as thought of and planned by the Godhead before the foundation of the world. The prefi x "pre" in predestination means, "before in time or order, or prior to." In Romans 8:29 we have Paul saying, "For whom He did foreknow He also did predestinate to be confi rmed to the image of His Son." The Godhead (the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) foreknew and predestined that mankind would be saved through belief in and obedience to this gospel plan of salvation. Paul says in part, (II Thess. 2:13-14), "God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctifi cation of the sprite and belief of the truth whereunto He called you by our gospel." We are predestined or called by the gospel of Christ. Consider this…. Are you ready to answer the call? Worship @ 10 a.m. Sunday Ladies Bible Study Friday @ 1 p.m. If we can assist you in any way, please email us at QuartzsiteChurchofChrist@gmail.com Quartzsite Church of Christ - 76 N. Amelia Ave. QuartzsiteChurchofChrist.com By Jackie Deal I managed to cause some confusion in the last Desert Messenger. So let's get it straight. The fi rst and third Thursdays at QIA is called "Open Mic" on the calendar. The jam mas- ter is Martha McKay and she does an excellent job. Her stage band consists of Bob Anderson, leader of Western Strings, Judy Bagley, and Ross Kible. All music is welcome. Second and fourth Thursdays at QIA is Gospel music. Cookie Shan- non is jam master with part of the Traveler's Band, ( Ed Bonham, Jan Korinek and Cookie Shannon) back- ing up the singers. Instruments and singers are welcome. Arizona Sun RV Park's manager, Barbara Grant (208-407-4485) an- nounces: "Music jam every Monday evening at 6:30. We are looking for a lead player. Bluegrass every Tues- day at 1:00." "Also they are having yard sales every 2nd Saturday.) If you think you don't like Blue- grass: try "The Arizona Connec- tion", the group playing at Arizona Sun. It's hard not to like them. Sherry Bensmiller plays a banjo like she has ten fi ngers on each hand. And the others keep up with no problem. Monday and Wednesdays 1-3pm (note the time!) Square Dance Les- sons. The fi rst lesson found 34 eager, laughing beginners and refreshers. At times we looked like "Wal-Mart's parking lot" but in two hours every- one learned 10 or 12 fi gures and had a great time. Mel from Split Rail RV Park an- nounces that starting in Decem- ber they will have Bluegrass every Thursday 1 p.m. "Rusty" a perform- er from New Zealand where he's well-known, will perform monthly starting December 14 at 7p.m. He's Country Western (with maybe a Kiwi twang?) and he has several CDs available. Wednesday night needs to be cloned! We have two excellent events going on. Holiday Palms has their long standing and popular jam every Wednesday at 6:30 pm. And soon the parking lot will be "jam-packed" so get there early. (Conra and Todd say they'll be down after Christmas) Also Wednesday night at Gold Star is an acoustic jam, headed by Scot Bush. Acoustic means non-elec- tronic for us non-musical folks. Sunday 6:30 pm is Gospel music (acoustic) with Lee Black as jam master. If you haven't heard Lee sing, you are in for a real treat. He has a voice worthy of Broadway. Randy Cardinal, one of our excellent bass singers, conducts Sunday10 am services at the Cowboy Church at La Posa South. Try it, you might like it.
