W e hope this finds everyone well and preparing for a relaxing holiday season. Delta Nu is certainly counting its blessings as we enjoy the final months of 2018, a year full of prog- ress and early success! Over the last several months the Delta Nu campaign leadership has worked diligently to raise campaign donations to purchase our land from UND and begin to build our new chapter house. We are pleased to share that thanks to the generosity of Jim Scoular '65, Delta Nu of- ficially owns 3000 University again! Please see page 3 to read why Jim decided to give to the fraternity. In order to move forward with construc- tion we must have $3 million in pledges by April 1, 2019. To date, $2,278,583 has been committed from just 52 donors. In fact, we have raised more than $160,000 in the last 90 days—which is extraordinary, but we need to continue this pace to reach our spring goal. If you are already among our list of donors on page 2, we thank you. To those who have yet to give, now is the time to add your name to our donor list! Any contribution you make has the potential to help us begin construction this spring. Consider finding the name of a broth- er you know on the donor list and match his gi with a one-time contribution, or join with members of your pledge class in a group gi. Gis of $25,000 and above are eligible to be tax deductible and there are also room naming op- portunities still available. If you are interested in learning more, please contact us. is is an extremely important time for Delta Nu—to begin construction in 2019 would poise us to have all stages of the construction done and the Shelter ready for occupancy in time for the 2020 school year—and we hope all alumni can see the incredible potential this provides our chapter. Please consider your role in the campaign and in this challenge. Have you given? Can you give again? Or is it time for you to secure your place on our donor list and help us make this proj- ect a reality? Donate TODAY by using the enclosed pledge card. We are relying on you to show your support. Here is our plan. Com- ments welcome. Greg Page '70 has generously committed $1,000,000 to this re-build campaign, if we can build debt free. Quite visionary. Without debt, lots of good things can and will happen, chiefly our ability to finan- cially maintain the new chapter house, as and when needed, as well as offer scholarships to those worthy. While not answering the basic question—will they care for it —debt-free construction assures available financial resources for care. Our architect, who works exclusively with Greek housing, has de- signed a main floor, two-room apartment, for a resident manag- er, quite common these days we are told. While yet premature to know with certainty, it is expected that the live-in manager will be a grad student or one even yet more senior, with a job descrip- tion, compensation and reporting responsibilities to the Delta Nu Board of Trustees.
