The Ivy 3 Beta Beta Takes on the World Sisters Celebrate Graduating Seniors, Philanthropic Success A s our summer comes to a close and we head back to school, lots of great memories come to mind. The first half of 2018 was busy for Alpha Phi at Michigan State! From our successful Red Dress Gala to wishing the best for our graduating seniors—spring semester was a whirlwind. Study Abroad We started in January by sending Phis on study abroad. Chrystyna Strumbos '15 went to Dubai, Caroline Mayo '15 saw Amsterdam, and Morgan Kreitz '15 stayed in Australia. Michigan State has some of the best programs ever! Study abroad experiences have shaped our chapter's members and we hope they will continue to do so. More than $9,000 Raised In February, we hosted our annual Red Dress Gala. Families and friends of our sisters were able to come together and raise more than $9,000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation. We are proud to support our foundation, which advances women's lives through the power of philanthropy. Thank you to those who helped make this possible. Successful Sisters In March, our Spartan basketball team won a Big Ten Championship with our sisters, Mallory Degroat '16 and Sarah Repovz '18, cheering them on with the dance team! We all can't wait for the football season. Later in April, we had a great performance at the Greek Games. As the warm weather continued we also had a successful chapter date party on a riverboat in Lansing. As the summer approached, our sisters prepared to move out of 616 M.A.C. and get ready for their summer plans. Nikki Krear '15, a member of the Financial Markets Institute, prepared to move to Chicago for a finance internship. Upon move-out, we thanked and wished the best for our house mom, Jen. Over the summer, the house was redecorated in multiple rooms and we love the changes. More study space has been added! Fifty new members were beyond excited to move into our updated home together. We were also excited to meet our new housing director, Isabel Perry! We've had a fabulous year and can't wait to welcome a new pledge class in September. Our members keep achieving, growing, and having fun together. Alpha Phi has given us so much and we are ready to share it with others! Wishing you all a great rest of 2018.
