PENINSULAR CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PHI FRATERNITY • FALL 2018 Capital Campaign Enters Final Phase Now Is the Time to Step Up and Join Your Brothers in Support of the Campaign T he Preserve Our Future – Restore 556 State Street campaign is drawing to a close. Due to the support of numerous alumni, parents and friends, our historic renovations have been completed and the result is spectacular. No doubt that our renovations have made a huge impact on recruitment and overall morale of the chapter. Our brotherhood is strong and continuing to grow—the actives are energized by the new house. We have surpassed our initial $2 million fundraising goal ahead of schedule, having currently received $2,129,211 in pledges and gifts toward our major housing project. This was a critical plateau for reaching financial viability and balancing an affordable mortgage for the unpaid portion of the renovation. As we seek to conclude our campaign in April 2019, we are focused on the necessary support to sustain the ongoing success of this historic project. As we look back over the past two and a half years of the capital campaign, we have been inspired by the tireless work of our Peninsular Society, campaign board, and advisors. Coupled with that was the dedication and financial support of our alumni and undergraduate brothers to help us deliver a safe and worthy chapter home for brothers to live in for decades to come. Truly, without the loyal support of our members who contributed dollars early on, the renovation wouldn't have been possible. To the nearly 200 brothers that have already contributed or pledged to the capital campaign, our deepest thanks go out to you! HELP US FINISH THE CAMPAIGN STRONG While we now have a new chapter house that allows us to compete at the University of Michigan, we want to ensure that we set up the chapter for long-term success. We cannot maintain our home without strong finances in place. Every pledge we continue to receive helps us pay down construction loans and puts our chapter in a better position. When our chapter is secure in its finances, it allows us to remain competitive with room and board fees, which in turn helps us to recruit the best and the brightest to keep our traditions alive and strong for generations. YOUR SUPPORT STILL NECESSARY For those of you who have given generously, you have made our success possible. If you are able, please consider extending that pledge another year or making an additional contribution. For those of you who have not given, we appreciate any amount you feel you can give toward this important project. Every dollar counts! CAMPAIGN ENDING APRIL 2019— DEADLINE FAST APPROACHING The campaign is ending April 2019 at our Annual Membership Meeting and Golf Tournament. We want to remind you that all donors pledging at least $2,500 will see their names on a prominent plaque displayed in the chapter house. Remember, we also have a five-year pledge program to stretch your gift to its full potential. It's much more manageable to donate $1,000-$2,000 per year to make your total donation more significant. Many of our brothers have used this program to make a larger gift. Use the pledge form enclosed to make your pledge today. Your support makes a big difference and we thank you. Please come to the chapter house the next time you are in Ann Arbor to see your dollars at work and to celebrate our success.
