When we actually set foot into the newly renovated house at 556 S. State Street, each and every one of us was blown away. The fall of 2018 has been nothing short of fantastic for all of our current actives so far. Having the finished house has given our members the opportunity to become much closer and deepen those connections which we already had. We're all incredibly grateful for all the hard work that the alumni have done. It goes without saying that without them none of this would be possible. All of our members were remarkably dedicated to seeing each other during break despite the fact that many of us live far apart. These intermittent trips to see one another allowed us to hit the ground running once the year started. The summer was also a time for extensive planning among those on the executive board, and I was thoroughly impressed with the dedication of each and every member to their position. Soon, we'll hold elections for the 2019 executive board positions, and it's safe to say that the future of the organization will be in good hands. Going into the winter, there are many reasons to be optimistic! T his year's Homecoming had quite a different feel than years past as alumni from as far back as the 1950s had the opportunity to visit the new Alpha Delta Phi. For many alumni, this was their first time seeing the newly renovated 556 S. State Street. For others, it was another chance to spend time with their classmates in the new house in what has become a center of pride for all brothers. More than 80 alumni and their families joined the actives and their sorority partner for festivities at the house. Energy and excitement echoed throughout every floor, including the basement and both the lower patio and upper deck. It was a proper Alpha Delt party. In fact, the weather delay for the Michigan football game worked out perfectly to allow the party to extend longer. The brotherhood weighed heavy with many alumni, along with the responsibility of supporting the capital campaign and honoring the effort that so many have put in to make this vision a reality. We're extremely grateful for the generous alumni who stepped up at Homecoming with new donations, as well as alumni announcing increased commitments on top of their original pledges. For those that have not contributed to the campaign yet and want to see the results first- hand, please consider visiting the house the next time that you're in Ann Arbor. A special thanks to Mitchell Bieniek '16 for working with the actives to plan a tremendous Homecoming event. AlumNi from All erAs celebrAte Historic HomecomiNg
