Thursday, January 24, 2013 – Daily News 7A RED BLUFF BULL & GELDING SALE From Page 6A Syd with its unique cow hide purses that have old boots as pockets, she said. Don Lundgren said his favorite booth is the Dewalt tool booth because he likes to see what's new. The trade show is the biggest she has been to as a vendor during the few years she has been making her purses, Sydney Arnett of Hide Designs by Syd out of Oakdale said. She ended up at the show because of her friend Sherry Maltby of Broken Box Ranch in Williams who has been a consignor for about 10 years. The two have been friends since seventh grade and Maltby, who is involved with the trade show for Colusa Western Days, has been telling her friend what a good show Red Bluff is for years, she said. Red Bluff's Sarah Gould of Sarah's Jewelry Designs, located in the Ron Knight building, is a first timer and while there was not a lot of traffic Wednesday, she is still hopeful of doing well, she said. Kit Reynolds, who owns The Loft and Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply at 501 Madison Street in Red Bluff, said traffic was good for a Wednesday, but the first day is always less people. "Wednesday is lookie loo day, Friday will be busy and Saturday will have steady traffic all day long," Reynolds, who has been coming for 20 years, said. Keith Gore and his girlfriend Angie Snyder of Red Bluff said they enjoy the show, but it's really more window-shopping due to the higher prices. "We try to come every year," Keith Gore of Red Bluff said. "We always go to see the blood and guts rodeo, look at the horse stuff and see if there are any good deals." Red Bluff resident Alex Fullingim said he attends every year. "I first came to sell bulls, but now I just come and dream of the days that used to be," Fullingim said. The trade show, which resumes at 9 a.m. today, continues through the end of the sale on Saturday. For a schedule of events visit www.redbluffbullsale.com.
