OUR PLAN
A Home to Set Pi Phi Apart
O
ur chapter house is the focal point of Pi Phi life at UGA. But as you also may know, our house was
built in 1925 as a stately family home. Pi Phi purchased the home in June 1939. It's been renovated,
rehabbed, redecorated and expanded time and again. As with many old homes, it's required serious
upgrades to meet contemporary lifestyles, technology needs, safety standards and student expectations.
Because of this, CHC, alongside the undergraduate leadership, and Wilson & Dawson, a leading
architectural firm with extensive knowledge of Athens, UGA and Greek life, is in the beginning phase of
determining the best course of action for our chapter house. Our plan is grounded in the following goals:
Keep Georgia Alpha competitive with other women's fraternities and with enhanced university and
off-campus housing.
Provide more study space and community gathering spots and allow for chapter dinners and
meetings to be a pleasant experience for all.
Keep capacity at 58 residents.

Chapter meetings require the active membership to move out the living room furniture and squeeze into every corner of our first floor.
Dinner for the whole chapter causes overcrowding.
