ALPHA CHI OMEGA 3 A fter a trip to Convention and a successful recruitment season, the members of Gamma Zeta are back for another jam- packed fall semester! This summer, I had the pleasure of representing Gamma Zeta at Alpha Chi Omega's National Convention in Austin, Texas. Gamma Zeta received the Seeking the Heights Award in Chapter Finance and it was awesome to be recognized for our achievements. GAMMA ZETA FINDS 58 NEW SISTERS We had an extremely successful fall recruitment, and 58 wonderful new members have found their new home at Alpha Chi. We are so grateful and cannot wait to see what they will achieve here at K-State. We know they will contribute to the continued growth of Gamma Zeta. RAISING AWARENESS FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE On September 16, we partnered with Gamma Phi Beta and Pi Beta Phi to host our annual Todd Trio Block Party philanthropy event. Members of the Manhattan community were invited to Todd Road for burgers, yard games, and live music provided by singer/songwriter and former K-State punter, Nick Walsh. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and our members were out on campus ready to educate and spread awareness about domestic violence and healthy relationships. On October 24, our members participated in Luminaries, where we lit candles in remembrance and solidarity of women affected by domestic violence and heard stories of sisters who have been affected by domestic violence. FUN-FILLED SISTERHOOD EVENTS Bonding is always a focus for our members, and this year we've already hosted several events such as roller skating in Junction City and our annual Dad's Weekend Brunch. With annual Homecoming events, our October sisterhood retreat to Worlds of Fun, and semi-formal in November, our members have had much to look forward to! THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT We can't wait for the rest of the semester! We are thankful for the continued support of our parents and alumnae who make all of this possible. If you find yourself in Manhattan, please come say hello.
