FALL 2018
T
hough there weren't any chapter members at the Gamma Zeta facility over
the summer, the house was busy, busy, busy! Members of the local housing
corporation renovated and revamped many of the community spaces, as well as the
chapter members' rooms.
New furniture and decorations were purchased for the recreation room, new
flooring and paint updated the laundry room, and a new storage system for
members' laundry necessities was added.
The house corporation also gave the guest room a face-lift, which now includes
space for three guests at a time rather than two. The dining room was painted, art
added, and the Alpha Chi Omega Symphony returned to the east wall.
Not only is the aesthetic of the facility important, but also the safety of the members
who reside within it. This summer, fire sprinklers and a lock box were installed to
the facility to keep members safe in case of an emergency. Sprinklers are installed in
10 of the 12 current PHC facilities on campus and we are now included on this list!
Thank you to the members of the Gamma Zeta Local Housing Corporation for
their hard work to make improvements to our home! The LHC meets each month
to maintain our home on 1835 Todd Road. If you are interested in joining the
board, please email Vice President Sara Smith '97 at ssmith@highlandcc.edu.
