ALPHA EPSILON PHI 3 W e ended the summer with a wonderful Alumnae Brunch in the suburbs at Maggiano's. It was wonderful seeing many sisters at the event. This transitioned us into the fall semester, which started off with a productive and sisterhood-filled work week to prepare for formal recruitment. Recruitment was led by our vice president of recruitment, Jessie Saban '16, and was held September 6-7 and September 13-16, with our Bid Day celebration on Monday, September 17. The sisters of Mu Chapter were so excited to welcome 32 new women into our sisterhood. Our Bid Day was planned and set up by our vice president of new member education, Andrea Christoforou '16. The new members came back to the house with a ready, set, go AEPhi theme that included lots of glitter, colored powder, games, and a whole house dinner. Everyone had a great time celebrating with the chapter and we had the Kona Ice truck surprise the chapter with some treats. Our new sisters begin their new member process with a special "Phi Night" every week with icebreakers and activities to get to know each other and the rest of the chapter. During October, we started off supporting our philanthropy by participating in Pink Week. Members educated themselves on our philanthropy and participated in sisterhood activities related to breast cancer. On October 17, we held our fall semester philanthropic dinner. The proceeds from the sales went to our national philanthropy, Sharsheret, a nonprofit organization that supports young Jewish women and their families facing breast or ovarian cancer. Members also participated in a philanthropy event with members of other houses. Mu Chapter's fall semester philanthropic event was a kickball competition. We are very excited for the rest of the semester!
