Ana Carolina Haro '17, Sofia Adell, Or Mordekhai, and Rachel Monasebian '17. Isabel DeNardi and Kara Bradley ENTRE NOUS 4 PI PHI WELCOMES NEW ANGELS W e are already in the middle of our fall semester at USC, and activities at Pi Beta Phi are in full swing! Over the summer the California Gamma Pi Phi recruitment team was hard at work planning for our New Members. Vice President of Membership Autumn Webb '16 led her team to a very successful recruitment of 37 lovely new angels. Our new members are full of enthusiasm, and we were so thrilled to see them running to our home on Bid Day. New Member Coordinators Maggie DiFederico '15 and Alexa Weidenfeld '15 have led the women with all of their loyal support. They planned a retreat in Laguna Beach to learn more about Pi Phi values and bond with their new sisters. We had our Big Sister reveal on October 4, and the new members were initiated on October 22. We have continued to excel academically by achieving a GPA well above the student average and the Greek average. We have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 for spring 2018. Vice President of Member Development Alexa Bauman '16 has encouraged our members to push themselves academically with incentives, scholarship opportunities, and career development workshops. We won the Academic Innovation Award at the 2018 Trojan Greek Awards for our excellence in academic encouragement. Pi Beta Phi hosted our Arrowspike volleyball competition on October 20, supporting the Pi Beta Phi Foundation. Our chapter is excited to share that we co-hosted the event with Sigma Chi fraternity. Charlotte Busch '16, our Vice President of Philanthropy, planned our event with a fundraising goal of $10,000. We collected donations from the USC community and sold T-shirts to benefit the foundation. USC Homecoming weekend is on November 9-11, and we look forward to welcoming all of our alumnae home for the weekend. USC Pi Phi has had a fabulous year so far, and we are already off to a great start for the next school year. We are well into our executive board term with officer elections coming up in November. I am so proud of the work that Pi Phi has done over the past semester, and I am looking forward to a memorable final semester as Chapter President! Pi Phi Love, Gaby Glover '15 Chapter President
