Sigma Chi - Kansas State University

5 W e are enjoying being back at school in our newly renovated house. We hosted a philanthropy on September 9 that raised more than $1,000 for a brother in the house whose mother has leukemia. After a successful Derby Days last spring, raising over $15,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, we have a new goal to raise more than $20,000 this year and join the $20K club. After a successful recruitment last year, we initiated 28 new members on September 29. We had a successful Homecoming week with our partners Chi Omega and Theta Xi. The intramural football team has had success this season going 4-1 in the regular season and is looking forward to the playoffs. As of October 10, our house GPA is 3.35, which would have ranked fifth among fraternities at K-State last fall. Our Dad's Day will take place on November 10 at a tailgate for our football game against Kansas. Overall, we are trying to be very active not only in the Greek community, but the community of Manhattan as well.
