Theta Kite 2 Theta Sisters Lead on and off Campus Internships, Study Abroad, and Campus Positions Shape Alpha Chi Chapter A nother exciting semester is well underway at the Alpha Chi Chapter! After a rewarding recruitment season, 41 ambitious and charismatic women now call 607 Russell Street their new home. We have loved getting to know each new member of the 2018 class, and we look forward to sharing our experiences and teaching them more about what it means to be a member of this incredible organization. We could not be happier with the women we have selected to continue the Theta legacy at Purdue and cannot wait to watch them evolve into amazing leaders in this chapter and across campus. This past summer, the women of the Alpha Chi Chapter remained busy through internships and opportunities that took them all over the world. We had members studying abroad in Australia, Ireland, Italy, Estonia, Switzerland, and even in India! Thetas are a very eclectic group of women, interning in fields from pharmacy to forensics to machine engineering. We had sisters interning for the Professional Golf Association, Riley Hospital for Children, Republic Airlines, PepsiCo, and many more. Several of our seniors have already received full-time employment offers as a result of their summer internships at companies such as Anheuser-Busch, J.P. Morgan, and Frito-Lay. Our chapter couldn't be prouder of their hard work in pursuit of their next life adventure. The women of Alpha Chi were eager to jump right back into their studies and activities when they returned to campus in August. We have sisters serving on the Purdue Engineering Student Council, representing Purdue on the soccer field and on the swim team, serving as ambassadors and leaders for their respective colleges, and sitting on various committees that help plan the Purdue University Dance Marathon. Recently, three Alpha Chi sisters were selected to participate in the prestigious Old Masters program. The women of Alpha Chi are my biggest inspiration, and I have been so lucky to serve as CEO for the past year. These women are extremely supportive, hilarious, and intelligent, and I can't wait to see all of the amazing accomplishments and opportunities this next semester holds for everyone! Loyally in Theta, Addison Eads '15 Chief Executive Officer Four members attended Grand Convention in Orlando, Florida, this summer: Allie Hemingway '15, Eva Highberg '16, Addison Eads '15, and Emily Schneider '15. Forty-one new members pledged Kappa Alpha Theta in early September. Laura Boodt '15 was honored as a member of the 2018 Homecoming Court.
