Hubert L. Barnett '39 celebrated his 102nd
birthday on August 14 this year. "Still in good

Joseph V. LeBlanc '53 and his wife, Shirley,
were married in 1953 and live in Bartlesville,
Okla. They have four daughters: one with a
Ph.D., two with juris doctorate degrees, and one
with an M.D. Joe retired as medical director at
Phillips Petroleum in 1992. Prior to that he was
in private practice in Fort Smith, Ark. He is a
member of the Bartlesville ΣΧ alumni chapter.

J. Alan Day '55 has been retired since 1996 and is
"enjoying my life, traveling some with my wife,
Jerron, and doing pretty much whatever I want."
They live in Germantown, Tenn., and Alan is
"glad that I can now see most Ole Miss sports on

Joe D. Pegram '58 retired in 2016 as an attorney,
after a long and successful career: IBM, director/
assistant director of Ole Miss, Memphis State,
and Mississippi State computer centers, Ph.D.
in statistics from Texas A&M, professor of
mathematics, and Ole Miss Law School. He and
his wife, Carolyn, live in Oxford and have four

James T. "Jim Tom" Atherton '59 and his wife,
Margie, celebrated 57 years of marriage in
March and live in Lenoir City, Tenn. Jim Tom
is a retired human resource manager and USAR
colonel, and he was on two national champion
mixed doubles tennis teams (2002, 2004). "I am

Billy G. Lamb '63 and his wife, Judy, live in
Germantown, Tenn., and have two sons, Michael
and Stephen. For the last 12 years, Billy has
volunteered with MANRISE Ministries in
Memphis/Shelby County Schools, working with
football and basketball teams as a mentor and
character coach. He retired in 1996 as a regional
sales manager for General Foods/Kraft Foods.

Larry F. Higginbotham '64 retired in 2016 as
first vice president of Raymond James Financial
Advisor. He and his wife, Pamela, live in Cordova,
Tenn., and have two grown children, Rhett
and Halle. Larry says, "I am enjoying my five

William A. Roper Jr. '68 is "flunking
retirement" as president/CEO of Roper Capital
Company. He lives in La Jolla, Calif., and
says he is "living well, traveling, active in

James E. Watkins '68 retired in 2015 after 42
years with JPMorgan Chase and Regions Bank.
He and his wife, Christine, live in Austin, Texas,
and have two children, Elizabeth and Matthew.

Daniel L. Singletary '71 is an attorney/agent
with The William Morris Group. He and his
wife, Lee, live in Jackson and have two children,
Dan Jr. '99 and Beth. He reports that Dan Jr.

Peter B. Perkins Jr. '73 retired in 2017 after
27 years in government relations for Northop
Grumman Corp. He and his wife, Nancy, live in
Williamsburg, Va., and enjoy the slower pace of
life and benefits of a college town. They have

Gregory L. Barnard '76 is corporate cr. mgr.
of Modern Welding Co. and lives in Philpot,
Ky., with his wife, Alice. They have two
children, Aaron and Adam. Greg reports that
ΣΧ brothers in Owensboro have started an

Allan S. Lee '92 and his wife, Kathryn, have
lived in Corinth since 1994. They have two
children, Spencer, a sophomore at Ole Miss, and
Elizabeth, a freshman at the University of North
Alabama. Allan is president of Corinth Brick Co.,
and the family enjoys boating on Pickwick Lake.
He enjoyed the pledge class of 1988 reunion in
