Box 1001, Columbia, Mo. 65205. if it had not been for Alpha Phi at Mizzou, I don't think I would have met my husband! So, Omicron is life-changing! I made many friends during my time at Omicron, and we had many role models, but I have to mention Val Lawlor '71. She visited the chapter during polish week when I was a collegian, and I had the pleasure of working with her on the Omicron recolonization efforts." Kim has been able to stay involved with Alpha Phi, even though she is more than 1,000 miles away, as the chapter advisor at George Washington University. She was connected with Robin Shapiro '84, the chapter advisor at the University of Maryland, and has been volunteering in the area since 1988. Kim has done so much as a chapter advisor that at 2018 Convention in Tucson, Arizona, she was honored as the Most Outstanding Chapter Advisor. Kim received her bachelor's degree in education and French at Mizzou before getting her master's in education, administration and supervision from Johns Hopkins University. She has continued her work in the field of education. "I started as a French teacher and worked in a number of schools here in Maryland. I currently serve as the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program Coordinator for Frederick Douglass High School. I love working with students and teachers as learners!" Kim lives in in Bowie, Maryland, with her husband, Rob Watson (Beta Sigma Psi, Mizzou '85). Her daughter, Kristin (21) is a senior at UMBC and her "sorority" is the varsity volleyball team. You can find Kim watching and playing volleyball, and gardening in her spare time. Connect with Kim Watson at mydearwatsons@ comcast.net.
