Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi 3 F all semester is in full swing and the calendar is packed, making for a busy semester. Live-in members moved in to 906 S. Providence two weeks prior to classes in preparation for formal recruitment. Polish Week was filled with recruitment workshops, crafting, and lots of bonding! We had an ice cream social and several fun spirit activities that helped to strengthen our sisterhood and get us excited to welcome home a new member class. The recruitment team, led by Aerin Hanks '16, worked diligently all summer to pull off a successful recruitment. New Members off to a Strong Start The recruitment teams' hard work was evident on Bid Day when we welcomed 63 new members into our sisterhood. Our Bid Day theme, "Making Dreams Come True Since 1872," was the perfect fit for our bright and genuine new members. New member education started right away with weekly meetings to learn Alpha Phi's history and member expectations, ivy linking dates to meet older members, and many more sisterhood events. Catherine Argo '16, our vice president of member education and programming, is ensuring that our new members have a smooth transition into college life and Alpha Phi. We had a fantastic initiation weekend as we celebrated the new members on September 30. Thank you to all of the alumnae who came to the brunch reception. Mizzou's 107th Homecoming In addition to classes, chapter meetings, socials, and sisterhood, our chapter is preparing for Mizzou's Homecoming, one of the university's most cherished traditions and a big part of the Greek life community. Our theme this year is "board games" and we are paired with the men of Delta Tau Delta. Our sisters are working hard on our Homecoming house decorations and community service events to help play a vital role in this year's Homecoming celebration. We encourage you to come by the Alpha Phi house to see the finished product. Word on the street is we have the winning pairing! We are also very excited about all the philanthropy events we have planned, including Red Dress weekend, where all the proceeds go to the Alpha Phi Foundation. With Homecoming, football games, and Red Dress Gala, there are many reasons to plan a trip to Columbia and the 906 this fall. Our members would love to connect with alumnae and share these events with each of you. We appreciate your continued love and support of our chapter. We need your help to carry on the legacy of Omicron for years to come. Loyally Yours, The Omicron Sisters of Alpha Phi The proud graduating class of 2018 celebrates four years of Alpha Phi sisterhood. Excitement Builds Surrounding Fall Semester Omicron Looks to Continue Success Senior members Olivia Rindone '15, Brittany Sell '15, Ashlyn Hoff '15, and Vicki Workman '15. Turn the page to meet our 63 new members!
