Sigma Chi 3 O ver the summer, 90% of the brothers liv- ing in the chapter house were working in internship or co-op positions, and many more were scattered across the country. Our house continues to be driven by our young, mo- tivated brothers who are taking a stance not only in our chapter, but on campus as well. 3.328 GPA Achieved Our chapter recorded a GPA of 3.328 in the spring, placing us fih among all fraternities. is fall, we will look to drive this even higher through academic accountability of active broth- ers as well as in our fall new member class. We recorded our most successful scholarship program ever this year. Beginning with the ac- ademic semester, we received over 150 applica- tions and interviewed almost 50 applicants. is is greatly attributed to Scholarship Chairman Evan Perduk '22 and the tireless effort poured into making this program a success. $36,000 Raised for Huntsman Cancer Institute Last year, our chapter raised $36,000 for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation, and we have our sights set on breaking $50,000 this fall. Our Derby Days week took place from October 15-21 with nightly events at the chapter house and at venues in the local community. Our efforts for Derby Days will conclude with our second annu- al Fight Night that will take place at Bogarts on October 30 at 7 p.m. While recruitment has been much slower across all of Greek life this fall, we are striding at a great pace. As of September 10, we have extended a total of 14 bids and continued to increase this number as we approached recruitment week. is year, formal recruitment took place from September 14-21 consisting of nightly events at the chapter house. Ninth Peterson Award Won We were able to send six brothers to Snowbird, Utah, this summer to participate in the Horizons Leadership Summit Program. Additionally, we took nine up-and-coming leaders to attend Bal- four Leadership Workshop in Bowling Green, Ohio, where we received a Blue Peterson Chap- ter Excellence Award. is is our ninth Peterson Award in the past 11 years. Without your generosity, we would not be able to attend events such as the annual Sports Stag or the monthly alumni luncheons. We enjoy connecting with alumni and parents alike and would like to show you our appreciation by host- ing you all for a tailgate at the chapter house on November 10 as the Bearcats take on South Florida. ere has never been a better time to be a Sig- ma Chi, especially a brother of Zeta Psi Chapter. Our GPA continues to increase, our contribu- tion to the Huntsman Cancer Institute is rapidly growing, and we continue to be recognized by the international fraternity for our efforts. Most importantly, every brother is extremely proud to call himself a Sigma Chi.
