When my family and I first moved to Huntsville, we
didn't have any extended family close by. So, each
Christmas, we would drive 16+ hours to Miami, FL,
where a large portion of our family lives.
Once there, we'd go from house to house, opening
presents and eating some good homemade Cuban food
in the nice tropical weather. €is was the tradition for
a long time, and I miss being able to do this. Now that
we're older, not all the family can make it there at the
same time.

My favorite holiday memory was actually last year around
Christmas. Each year, my family gets together a weekend
before Christmas, and we have a family game night.
Last year, I hosted the event for the first time, and we had
a blast! It was the first year that everyone was able to
make it, and that made it extra special. We played games,
such as Taboo, M&Ms and Guesstures. And, of course,
there was food. It was a potluck, so everyone helped out by
bringing their specialties.
