The Lion & The Ladybug 2 THERE SHE IS, MISS TENNESSEE Christine Williamson Competes in the Miss America Competition O n June 23, Christine Williamson '13 became Miss Tennessee, and now she serves as a recruitment adviser for Alpha Delta! Along with being involved with Phi Mu, she was also a news anchor for NewsWatch while attending Ole Miss. Christine graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism with an emphasis in public relations, and a minor in political science. She is now working toward a master's degree in business administration at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. On top of her academics, Christine is also an advocate for Alzheimer's awareness and children's hospitals, serving as the state goodwill ambassador for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and a national ambassador for the Alzheimer's Association. Additionally, she is currently serving as Tennessee's state congressional advocate. Christine visits children's rooms and participates in fundraising efforts for all five CMN Hospitals across Tennessee. She is also helping her local hospital, Erlanger Children's in Chattanooga, Tenn., by promoting its Believe Campaign to raise funds for a new building. As an ambassador for the Alzheimer's Association, Christine brings awareness to various efforts in advocacy, education, and research ambitions. Christine competed in the Miss America 2019 pageant from September 5-9, where she was a Quality of Life Award Finalist and a Women in Business Scholarship Finalist.
