I'm happy to report that your Illinois Alpha chapter is wrapping up 115 years of operation at the University of Illinois.
SigEp's role on campus is becoming increasingly important. Illinois Alpha is helping young men learn and develop skills that aren't taught in the
classroom but are critical to professional success and personal happiness.
As an alumnus, you are an important part of this life-changing impact and we are excited to share with you important updates regarding chapter
membership, academics, leadership development, professional preparedness, and more. Illinois Alpha's undergraduate and volunteer leaders hope
this update and future communication serves as an inspiring invitation to all alumni to reconnect with Illinois Alpha and support the phenome-
nally talented young brothers currently in the chapter.
I have been serving as Illinois Alpha regional director throughout this academic year, and it has been a pleasure to assist the brothers in creating
an ideal SigEp experience that prepares them throughout college and beyond.
Illinois Alpha Membership
e chapter is currently home to 122 brothers. is places the chapter amongst the top quartile amongst 41 fraternities on campus. e chapter
pursues new members through a combination of recruitment events and effective use of the Balanced Man Scholarship. If you know of any current
or incoming students that would make a great fit for SigEp, then please recommend them to apply to the Illinois Alpha Balanced Man Scholarship
at http://www.illinoissigeps.com/scholarships.html.
Undergraduate Chapter Ranked Second Academically
e chapter's GPA for the fall semester was a 3.42, ranking them second among 41 fraternities, the community, and well above the all-campus
average. Spring grades have not been announced but will be included in future reports. Each year the undergraduate men of Illinois Alpha have
progressed academically. We salute your dedication and hard work.
