Kiwanian Cathy Horton Hunt was responsible for the annual party and this year's club President is Pam Issacs. Together they produced this very special event. Every year children from the James Home and Aaron's House, plus other kids, are invited for a fun filled evening that includes a dinner, gifts, special entertainment and of course an appearance by Santa. Fifteen children from the Children's Homes of Cleveland County attended this year's party along with five other children in need. Several Kiwanis Club members' children and grandchildren also were in attendance. Cathy and Pam said: "It is an honor to be a part of such a wonderful time. It's a reflection of what Kiwanis is all about." Cathy Horton Hunt and Chairman Pam Issacs greeted guest as they arrived at the Christmas party. Santa's elf, Clem Carter, made ba lloon sculptures and performed magic tricks for the kids. The community outreach dinners are also offered at Lawndale Baptist Church the first Thursday of the month and Palm Tree United Methodist Church the third Thursday of the month. Upper Cleveland County is blessed to have these three churches and their caring On Thursday, December 13th, folks enjoy dinner at Friendship United Methodist Church in contributions to the community.
