In 2017, the South East Raider Rally raised $8,620 for the hospital. Maggie Valley is centrally located to the best riding Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee have to offer. Many of the roads were made famous by some of the area's notorious moonshiners, such as Popcorn Sutton. There are roads for all skill levels, from the challenges of "The Rattler" and "Tail of the Dragon" to the more scenic sweeps of the "Blue Ridge Parkway" or "Cherohala Skyway."
