Born in Cleveland County on July 24, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Phylector Madison and Azalea Lisbon Thompson Lattimore. In addition to her parents, Glennie is preceded in death by her husbands, Matthew Simmons and Marshall Blanton; seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Blanton is survived by three sons, George Simmons and wife, Susan of Blacksburg VA, Ken Simmons and wife, Lecia of Catawba and Michael Simmons and wife, Jeanne of Denver; and five grand- children and eleven great grandchildren. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Buren and Grace Robinson Hamrick. Mr. Hamrick served our country in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth "lib" Hamrick. Smith Jr.; and by two brothers, Don and Tony Kirby. Born in Cleveland County on January 11, 1944, he was the son of the late Carl Whitworth and wife Ottie Newton Whitworth. Mr. Whitworth served our country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam dur- ing the Vietnam war. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Doris Mull Whitworth.
