In order for the chapter to remain strong and recruit the best members though, they need to have a house that does not put them at an immediate disadvantage in recruiting the best incoming students." – Jonathan Saperstein '07 Texas Pike's Cowboys & Silver Spurs 2016 www.texaspike.com e venerable Greek System at Texas is thriving. Concerns about increased ACT and SAT scores and a diminution of Greek-eligible or Greek-interested men and women are un- founded. Panhellenic sororities now have 70-women pledge classes (up from caps of 50) and five of the "top 10" fraternities have 200-plus members. Pike is one of five "top 10" other fra- ternities that are 100-man-plus chapters. Pike remains a very stable 130-140 men, year in and year out, and a new house por- tends membership growth.
