Recyclable items include lamps, vacuums, televisions that are 32 inches or smaller, DVD players, radios, computers and small kitchen appliances. Just about anything with a cord can be dropped off at the drive. Items will be collected and recycled by Cumberland County Solid Waste Management. Please note: Televisions larger than 32 inches and large appliances will not be accepted at the drive. Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Environmental Health Section, Third Floor Department of Public Health 1235 Ramsey St. Mosquito Dunks are a biological pest control agent that kills mosquito larvae while being non-toxic to fish, birds, wildlife and pets. The floating dunks can be placed in lakes, ponds, bird baths, flower pots and anywhere else there is standing water which can create a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Each dunk is effective for 30 days in standing water and will cover 100 square feet of surface. For more information about mosquito dunks, call the Health Department at 910-433-3600.
