De Hago's founder/owner Barkev Hagopian
is an Armenian Designer. Mr. Hagopian
chose his career at age 13 when he worked as
a diamond setter at his uncle's studio. His love
for the craft of jewelry was immediate. Even at
a young age, his passion for stones and design
was undeniable. After moving to the United
States in his teens, Hagopian found practical
education as an apprentice at high-end stores
in New York. At 17, he became a full-time
jeweler, and started on the road leading to
De Hago.
Today, De Hago stands for many things: First
an uncompromising commitment to qual-
ity. Each piece, created from 14 or 18 karat
gold, platinum, diamonds and gemstones, is
made on-site by skilled artisans. Every piece
created according to De Hago's standard of
perfection. "Before anything is sent out to
our customers, our team takes each piece of
jewelry through a series of rigorous quality
requirements," Mr. Hagopian explains. "We
check and double check to insure that every
De Hago jewel meets our own high criteria."
Second, De Hago jewels represent a dedica-
tion to beauty. Spectacular gemstones in a
wide range of colors are sourced from around
the globe and placed in unique settings that
will appeal to women of all ages. Finally,
Mr. Hagopian's quest for evolution is
paramount. "There is no greater feeling of
accomplishment than when I envision new,
fresh designs that will be worn and cherished
for years to come. It's a journey I'll be on for
the rest of my life."
