Members Enjoy Themed Games and Socials
W
ith St. Patrick's Day behind us, I can tell you that it
was truly one that will go down in our chapter history
as one of the most memorable ever. Organized by our social
chairman, this year's event included socials with other Greek
organizations every morning the week of St. Patrick's Day.
Attendees enjoyed St. Patrick's Day games, sang songs during
Green Fridays, and competed against other organizations for
"Pat's points." For the first time since I've been in the chapter
house, a dedicated committee of five members kept everyone
up-to-date on St. Patrick's Day details. For next year's event, our
goal is to have more members involved than ever before. More-
over, we were thrilled that one of our own, Brother Kyle Govro
'19, was named Fourth Guard on the St. Patrick's Day Court.
It was great to see such a good turnout at the Last Pat's in the
House event before renovation begins. I spoke with as many
alumni as possible and was blown away by brothers' stories
about their active days in the chapter. Over 50 alumni com-
prising all eras of Sigma Pi showed up for the event, making
this the biggest gathering of brothers I've ever witnessed at
the house for St. Patrick's Day. If any alumni have pictures
from the event that you would like to add to our scrapbook,
send them to Herald Peter Wolf '19 at plwth5@mst.edu.
Recruitment a Top Priority
for Active Chapter
Bowling, Golf, and Cardinals
Summer Events Planned
I
n preparation for our year without the chapter house and to get ready for the new
house, recruitment is one of our chapter's top priorities. This spring, despite only
having a few PRO days, our incoming freshman list of potential new members was
extensive. We also conducted on-campus recruiting of soon-to-be sophomores, and
extended bids to current S&T students who expressed interest in our organization.
This summer, we will host the following recruitment events:
May 19
Flamingo Bowling
in St. Louis
June 2
Top Golf in Kansas City
June 23
Fugitive Beach in Rolla
June 30
Kokomo Joes in Rolla
July 14
Cardinals game
in St. Louis
July 28
Float Trip in Steelville
August 4
Upper Limits Rock
Climbing in St. Louis
If you are interested in helping us recruit or know of incoming freshmen who would
make fine additions to our fraternity, please reach out to Recruitment Chairman Ty-
ler Bartholow '20 at tb7c9@mst.edu.
