B uilding on our strong fall semester, the men of Alpha Iota concluded our time in the chapter house with a phenomenal spring. We've been heavily focused on recruit- ment to build up membership for the new house, while maintaining the strong brotherhood that makes Alpha Iota Chapter renowned. Academic Merit and Campus Enthusiasm Alpha Iota beat both the fraternity and MS&T student grade averages with a GPA exceeding 3.0. Additionally, several of our members ob- tained a 4.0 GPA for the fall term. Not only did we earn stellar grades, but we are influencers on campus with brothers who lead their design teams, are active in Pats and IFC, and hold of- ficer positions in professional organizations and academic societies. Outstanding ACE Project Award Recipient We received the Outstanding Altruistic Campus Experience (ACE) Project award from Sigma Pi Nationals for our First Come, First Served Bar- becue event last year. For the spring semester ACE week, April 16-20, we hosted additional functions to enrich students, raise money, and give back to the community. We held another barbecue for first responders and raised money for Suit Closet, the campus organization that provides formal attire and footwear to students free of charge. We also promoted organ donation for Donate Life and suicide awareness, in con- junction with the Amazing Day Foundation. Alpha Iota Earns Top Spot in Greek Week Small House Division In the fall, we placed first in the small house divi- sion for Greek Week and performed strongly in every event we participated in. For the univer- sity's first Greek tailgate football game, we set up a pavilion and made an afternoon of football and barbecue. For St. Patrick's Day, we sang fol- lies every Green Friday. Brothers in Fun and Philanthropic Service We've hosted multiple fun and memorable broth- erhood outings throughout the school year. We enjoyed a Blues game last fall, watched sporting events, and spent many nights around a bonfire. In the spring, we hosted movie nights and per- formed philanthropic work together, including cleaning our Missouri Department of Transpor- tation (MoDOT) Adopt-a-Spot location twice. Should you find yourself near Rolla, please stop by and meet our brothers. You are also welcomed to stay connected with us through our newly re- vamped website, sigmapialphaiota.org. As our brotherhood grows, we are proud that we have kept our Sigma Pi family strong at S&T.
