MEET OUR NEW
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
I
t is with heavy heart that the Fraternity
Service Center of Sigma Alpha Epsilon an-
nounces the passing of Official Family mem-
ber Richard Hooker, Vermont '55. While it al-
ways saddens us to hear of members entering
into the Chapter Eternal, Dick's legacy will live
on forever in the lives of those brothers he has
impacted.
Born on December 7, 1931, Richard "Dick"
Hooker Jr. was initiated into Vermont Beta
at the University of Vermont during the fall of
1952. Following his undergraduate tenure, he
served as province alpha archon from 1970
through 1986, chapter advisor for Worcester
Polytechnic Institute (Massachusetts Delta)
from 2002 to 2018, alumni advisor for the Uni-
versity of New Hampshire (New Hampshire
Beta) from 2011 to 2018, and most notably as
honorary eminent supreme archon from 2013
to 2015.
For his longstanding dedication to the Frater-
nity, Hooker has been awarded Outstanding
Chapter Advisor (2009, 2010, 2012), Order of
the Lion (2002), Order of Minerva (2012), the
Merit Key (1978), and the Distinguished Ser-
vice Award (1994).
Hooker passed away on March 21. He is sur-
vived by his daughter, Caroline; her husband,
Michael; two grandchildren, Erica and Christo-
pher; and four great grandchildren, Eli, Jack,
Mila, and Ava.

Other prizes included dinner at Scorpions Bar
& Grill, donated by co-owner Graham Camire
'00, UNH hockey tickets, and numerous gift
certificates to local businesses. The event
was a huge success, and the chapter was ex-
tremely happy to have Andy Savage and nu-
merous other alumni back at their old stomp-
ing grounds for a fundraiser that raised $3,740.
The Savage family was very appreciative, and
we are thrilled to announce that the Andy Sav-
age Fundraiser will become an annual event
for the New Hampshire Beta Chapter.
To learn more about Andy's battle and to help
support him during this time, please visit his
