The goal is to hire 30+ youth to work 32 hours per week for six weeks in positions in the Cumberland County area June 18 – July 27, 2018. Participants must also provide their own transportation to and from the internship site while working. There are many benefits of work-based learning for young people and the employer. Our youth use internships to determine if they have an interest in a particular career, to create a network of contact and to gain valuable work experience. From an employer perspective, the commitment to hire one youth creates an opportunity to prepare and train future employees, improve employee retention and increase employer visibility in education.
