publishers note T Glad Tidings and Great Joy his year is just about finished and it has been quite a year for our little publishing company. Our sales are up about thirty percent over the previous year, which in this economy is a great blessing. We added a couple of new products to our portfolio this year that were great successes. The Cape Fear Valley Medical Directory was a big success for a first time venture. We continued to work with the Chamber of Commerce to produce their annual publication, Accents. Although our Business Card Directory came out late in 2011, we distributed it all during 2012. All of our sales staff; Julie Donahue, Suzanne Dudley, George Matthews and Robin Wiggs, had a great year and our magazine keeps getting better and better thanks to our art director, Annette Winter, Anne Ancona our all around office guru and our editors, my wife Sandee Waren, Rebekah Sanderlin and Kelly Twedell. We are especially excited to announce that Ashlee Cleveland, our longtime former employee from the very beginning of the magazine, has come back to work with us as general manager again. Welcome back, Ashlee! It gives me great energy to know the Lord has blessed us this past year with a great product, a great staff, great advertising partners and most of all you, our readers. Without you readers, our magazine would not exist, so thank you from all of us. In a few days we will be celebrating the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. Regardless of your beliefs, Christmas is a special time for all to be with family and friends and, for those who believe, just to marvel at His wonder: 10 | December 2012 Psalm 19:1-4 (ESV) 1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4 Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun. Luke 2:8-14 (ESV) 8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. 10 And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all and CityView wishes you a blessed New Year!
