Donations to PTA
Quartzsite - The fi rst of the $1,000 donated
items were delivered to Quartzsite Elementary
School Friday morning. Zander Collier said
this all began when he gave a fl yer to Lynda
Goldberg last month. The fl yer stated that the
PTA was seeking school supplies, asking for
the community to come together to support
our local students. Goldberg and her neighbors
really stepped up to the challenge and gathered
$1,000 to help the kids! Goldberg said the rest
of the donations will be used when school sup-
plies go on sale this summer.
The PTA is hosting a School Supply Drive.
Needed supplies are Pencils, Erasers, Dry Erase
Markers, Notebook Paper, Tissues, Pocket T
Folders, Notebooks, etc. Keep an eye out for col-
lection boxes at local businesses and Quartzsite
Elementary School, located on E. Quail Trail.
