FREE PIZZA CERTIFICATE! for Silly Al's Pizza ������������������ ������������������ The Arizona Peace Trail announced on their Facebook page last week that the trail's crossing of Bill Williams River is closed while water is be- ing released from Alamo Lake. A GPX link to a detour from Lake Havasu City to Quartzsite is posted on their Facebook page & website. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is releasing water from Alamo Dam in order to facilitate required maintenance activities. The releases were started March 12 and should be completed by April 1. Alamo Dam is located on the Bill Williams River (BWR), 39 miles up- stream from the Colorado River at Lake Havasu. AZ Peace Trail temp closure at Planet Ranch The dam is on the border of La Paz and Mohave Counties in Arizona. Main access to the dam is from the town of Wenden on US Highway 60, approximately 36 miles to the south. The Peace Trail crosses the Project Area in two places, one just west of Planet Ranch and the second in the Swansea vicinity. At these two loca- tions, the Peace Trail has low-water crossings across the Bill Williams River. A detour Off Road route from Lake Havasu City to Quartzite is posted on their website arizonapeacetrail. org. The release will end on April 1, 2018.
