He has served the community in a number of positions over the last few years. His board experience includes: The American Red Cross, Partnership for Children, Planning Committee; Greater Fayetteville Chamber; Fayetteville Young Professionals, Chair. He was recognized as a 2015 Young Professional of the year by the Fayetteville Regional Chamber. Charlie received a BS Degree in Horticultural Science from North Carolina State University and a Master in Business Administration from Methodist University. He has been nationally recognized for his work in landscaping with Two Men and A Truck of Fayetteville, NC. William L. Hedgepeth II has since 2008, served as President and CEO of Select Bank & Trust and Select Bancorp Inc which operates 18 branches in North Carolina and South Carolina. A native North Carolinian, he has an extensive career in banking and bank management reaching back to 1983. He has served on the board of directors of the North Carolina Bankers Association from 2008 to 2010. He is currently serving on the North Carolina Bankers Association Legislative and Regulatory Committee. Hedgepeth has been named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and received the Business of the Year Award on behalf of Select Bank & Trust by the Dunn Area Chamber of Commerce in 2015. Most recently, he's been appointed to the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC) of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. Active in the community Hedgepeth has worked for many causes and worthwhile organizations as both a supporter and advocate. He currently serves on the board of the United Way of Cumberland County, the Airborne and Special Operations Museum Foundation board, the Greater Fayetteville Chamber board of directors, the Fayetteville/Cumberland County Vision 2026 board, the N.C. State Reentry Council and the Fayetteville Technical Community College Board of Trustees. John McCauley is a lifelong resident of Cumber- land County, graduating from Fayetteville Acad- emy, Davidson College and UNC School of Law in Chapel Hill. He worked as an Assistant District Attorney before entering private practice and later entering private enterprise where he worked as CEO of a regional construction firm and real estate developer. In 2002 John McCauley founded Highland Paving Co, LLC and remains as CEO. A regional site development and asphalt paving contracting firm, they serve private and public customers throughout southeastern NC; with manufacturing plants in Fayetteville and Wilmington. He serves as president of Vision 2026 and as a board member of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce. His desire to serve on the Chamber Board is driven by the belief that no community grows, thrives or reaches its potential without a vibrant expanding private sector creating jobs and growing the local economy. "The Chamber is an invaluable asset as it serves as an advocate and promoter of local business interests in all areas of our community and government," McCauley said. "The Chamber is committed to making Fayetteville and Cumberland County a more prosperous and attractive community in which to live, work or grow a business. I am proud to be a part of that mission."
