Alumni Update
CHAPTER ETERNAL
omas "Tommy" Buin '67 passed on to Chapter Eternal on November 5, 2017. Tommy served
proudly in the Army National Guard, where he was named outstanding basic infantry trainee
at Fort Ord, Calif. Always athletic, Tommy was a longtime MHSAA football referee and had
the privilege of officiating several state championship games. Like his father before him, Tommy
spent his entire career with State Farm Insurance serving as an agent with the company for over
40 years.
William "Bill" Curry '67 peacefully passed on to Chapter Eternal at his Dallas, Texas,
home on October 29, 2017. Aer college, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed
in Germany. Bill owned and operated multiple restaurants in both Starkville and Jackson,
Miss. He was an avid SEC sports fan and loved cooking and grilling for family and friends.
ALUMNI NEWS
Jimmy Ormon '60 says his grandson, Hayden Henderson, is captain of the Tupelo High School
swim team, which won the state championship for the 11th year in a row! He hopes Hayden will
