In 1963, the Tally family built what is known today as Tallywood Shopping Center, home to 32 businesses in a convenient walk-in plaza near the intersection of McPherson Church Road. The Mill End moved here from across Raeford Road in 1996. Now, it has the best selection of name-brand fabrics and upholstery products in the area with a custom home touch and design, featuring such lines as Duralee, Kravat and Fabricut. Castle Uniforms specializes in clothing and accessories for medical, dental and culinary professionals. It features shoes that are fashionable yet functional, transitioning from work to play. Brands include Sanita, Dansko and Alegria. Dressing Professionals for Respect is the storeÕs motto.
