It’s hard to believe, but before Phil Huggins came along, this Haymount home did not even have a backyard. Huggins bought an adjacent lot and went to work, creating a formal garden to rival those of Charleston, another city Huggins calls home. He added the fountain and arbor, plus a series of other small side garden “rooms.” The result is a showpiece to rival that of the house itself, an historic home most natives might recognize as “Miss Josephine’s.”
