The Quartzsite Historical Society is again preparing for a booth in the Big Tent, space permitting. We have been fortunate to receive a booth for the last several years, which has served to publicize the Museum, pro- vide information for visitors about Quartzsite and serve as a fundraiser, accepting donations as well as selling books on local lore and postcards. We feature a special display on one of our popular topics each year at the booth. Our local volunteers operate the booth. Please stop by and say hello and visit the Museum during this very busy week. Many thanks to our members who supplied the great ba ked goods for the Hi Jolly Parade Bake Sale and all who patronized our sale. Funds raised help sustain the Museum. Trivia Question of the Week What is the use of the item above? It has no moving parts and is shown sit- ting on a table. For the answer stop by the Museum (no phone calls please.) Does anyone have a couple of old military blankets they are willing to donate to use in our up-coming bunkhouse exhibit? The Quartzsite Historical Society welcomes new members. Member- ship is $10 per person and benefi ts include receiving e-mails about our monthly fi eld trips and free admission to the fi eld trips. Come join us! We have a variety of books relating to Quartzsite for sale. We are continu- ing to recycle plastic, aluminum and glass, which can be dropped off any time at our front gate collection can. We are a non-profi t historical society. Visiting the Museum is free, al- though donations are always welcome. The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. During tent week we will be open Mon- day and Tuesday as well. We are located at 161 Main Street (parking in rear). Phone (928)927-5229. E-Mail QHS@TDS.net. Got Drugs?
