Scholarship Announcements
T
he reception was held at Scotty's Dawghouse on Butler's campus this year and there was
quite a crowd. A strong showing of undergraduate members, alumni, family, and friends
provided an excellent environment for catching up, sharing stories, and rekindling friendships.
Undergraduate Chapter President Brandon Beck '19 kicked off the reception with an excellent
summary of the "State of the Chapter." Details can be found on pages 1 and 2 in this newslet-
ter. Jim Phillippe '77 shared a few heartfelt words about his cousin Jim Ringer '60 before the
passing of his Fraternity pin (see page 13). Lastly, Undergraduate Scholarship Chairman Emil
Govani '20 did an outstanding job announcing the 2017 scholarship recipients, valued at over
$31,000 for 2017.
