After suffering a stroke in August of 2015, she resides in Brewster Place Health Center in Topeka, Kan., where she enjoys reading Notes of the Lyre. Paula Harman Cocos '71 is loving the retired life with her husband, Rich, in Peachtree City, Ga., and enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family. She has five grandchildren, ranging from 18 months to 4 years in age. E-mail: pcocos149@gmail.com Karen Carse Chipman '74 enjoys retirement, volunteering in her community and church, seeing friends and family, substitute teaching, and traveling. "I try to do or learn new things each day!" she says. Karen and her husband, Mark, live in Olathe, Kan. E-mail: kcarsechip@ sbcglobal.net Carrie Nickles O'Hern '81 reports that after retiring from Hallmark, she has spent time in Fargo, N.D., visiting her daughter, Christine, who is a news anchor for KVLY. Carrie enjoys spending time with her son, Blake, who is a pastor at Aldersgate, UMC, in Olathe, Kan. She and her husband, Steve, moved 10 blocks south in September 2016. Carrie is on the new sanctuary building and sacred arts committees at the Church of the Resurrection, where she coordinated training of the docents who started giving tours of the new stained glass windows and sanctuary when the building opened in April. E-mail: carrie.ohern@gmail.com Kathryn Hill Leiding '04 shares, "My husband left the Army after eight wonderful years, and we moved to Wichita, Kan., with our baby boy, Lincoln." Katie is a development consultant at Make-A-Wish Kansas, which helps raise funds to grant wishes for children in the state who are facing life-threatening illnesses. "Our wish kids bring me a lot of joy with their unbeatable spirits," Katie adds. "I regularly see a few of my ACW sisters, but I wish I saw more of them! Come visit Wichita!" Sierra Glasscock '11 works part time at Liquid Soap Products while she works on her book, a fiction action adventure novel for college-aged women. "Think James Bond meets Angelina Jolie," she states. "I can't help it—I have to write about real, strong women!" Sierra lives is Grain Valley, Mo.
