Visions Violets of Beta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority at Purdue University • Fall 2017 Pleased to Meet You! Beta Sigma Welcomes New House Corporation Board A s your freshly anointed president of the House Corporation Board, I am pleased to introduce our new team to you. The treasurer takes care of ensuring the collegiate members are up-to-date on their payments and reviews the budget monthly to ensure we are on track. Even on move-in day, Christine Stoecker Watson '83 has been a great help anywhere she is needed. The secretary documents the minutes of each meeting. Mae Council Sheaffer '08 has fulfilled this duty for the last six months. However, she and her husband recently decided to move out-of-state so she will be stepping down at the end of October. Stepping up to take on this role will be Amy Wittenauer '94. Our best wishes to Mae and a big thank-you to Amy for joining the House Corporation Board. The vice president of facilities coordinates on going facility related work at the chapter house and assesses wear and tear damages each semester. Ashley Blauser Dove '94 resides in Palatine, IL, and finds time to visit the house each semester. The vice president of personnel is Mom Carrie's support. Kelsey Sannella '07 ensures our food service team, housekeeping, and Carrie are appropriately compensated and their needs are met to provide for the women living in the chapter house. We have two members-at-large, who help handle duties as needed by the board. Evelyn Alido Royer, Tau '88 lives locally and is our go-to support for daily items that need attention. Vicki Osmolski Lindamood '92 has helped support this role while Kelsey has been home with her newborn. That leaves the role of president, which I am humbled to have received. I do my best to support the team, set the agenda, lead meetings, and check in with Mom Carrie. I am honored to work with these women whom make my job easier. We are a group of women from various pledge years and even different chapters, but the one thing we all have in common is none of us have been on the House Corporation Board before. Please reach out to me directly or through the Facebook page with suggestions. Loyally, Kelly Breedlove Harless '92 House Corporation Board President kharless73@yahoo.com
