NOVEMBER 9-11 Heroes Homecoming II Cumberland County will be hosting Heroes Homecoming II to recognize the service and sacrifice of Iraq War veterans, including: a dedica- tion ceremony at the 82nd Airborne Memorial Museum; activities at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum (ASOM); a Veteran's Day parade; a family day in the park; flag placing in cemeteries and a commu- nity prayer service. NOVEMBER 10 Parade and NC Veterans Park Family Day Watch the Veteran's Day Parade, part of Heroes Homecoming 2012, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in downtown Fayetteville. Following the parade, head over to the N.C. State Veterans Park from 1:30 to 4 p.m. for an afternoon of family fun and entertainment. There will be children's games, activities and live music. In addition, various local vet- eran organizations will set up tables through the park. Food vendors will also be onsite. "Spoon River Anthology" Set in a cemetery of the fictional town of Spoon River, ghosts of the deceased, voice the secrets they guarded during their days on earth.
