AlwAys Anchored Epsilon Chapter of Delta Gamma • The Ohio State University • Fall 2017 Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY FOR EPSILON CHAPTER HOUSE PROJECT More Funding Needed to Furnish House I t's a great time to be an Epsilon Delta Gamma and the excitement at Ohio State is palpable. The undergraduates have had a great fall so far and are doing a wonderful job of upholding our Epsilon ideals. Everyone is looking forward to moving into the expanded and renovated house in August 2018. In early September, sisters gathered for our official groundbreaking. Construction is well underway as the footers are poured and demolition of some of the historic house rooms has begun. We have made great progress with the Anchoring a New Future for Epsilon campaign to fund our renovation. To date, we have raised an impressive $646,438 toward our $750,000 goal. A sincere and heartfelt thanks to those who have already contributed—we are grateful for your support. The finish line is in sight, but we need the help of all Delta Gamma sisters to get there. The total cost for our project is $2.6 million. A loan is being secured for the physical building construction and soft costs that are incurred (attorney fees, permits, appraisals, soil reports, etc.) Fundraising from Epsilon alumnae needs to cover closing costs, which total close to $500,000, and the cost of furnishing the house. This is why we set our fundraising goal to $750,000. The banks are only covering 70% of the building costs. It is up to our Epsilon alumnae to fund the final 30%. Only 11% of Epsilon alumnae have given to the campaign. We want this to be a collaborative effort across all generations, and we know we can improve our participation rate. To those who have not yet made a gift, we strongly encourage your thoughtful consideration of this project. Every new gift will help us purchase furniture and decorations to furnish our house. The need is huge, and the time is now, so please don't wait. Please visit www.epsiloncampaign.kintera.org/donate or send a gift to our P.O. Box to make your contribution to Delta Gamma today. Just as the generosity of sisters who came before us enabled our memorable Epsilon experience, we owe it to our future sisters to provide them the same opportunities. We hope to hear from you soon.
