INSIDE: Thank You, Brothers • 2 Paying It Forward • 3 Continued Commitments Needed • 3 Strengthening the Brotherhood • 4 ALPHA TAU OMEGA • UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA-LINCOLN • FALL 2017 S ince 2014, Gamma Theta Chapter has embarked on the Building on a Tradition of Excellence capital campaign to provide essential updates to our chapter house. The House Corporation and Construction Committee came together and created a plan for structural, system, and design improvements to make our house attractive, safe, and modern. Thanks to 224 of our brothers, we have raised $2,169,515 to support the chapter house renovations. A heartfelt thank-you goes to everyone who has contributed their time and money. With completion of the renovation, we celebrated with a house dedication and welcomed many alumni back to see the recent changes during Homecoming weekend in September. Let's look back on some highlights of the renovation. R Kitchen renovation R New commons room R New executive boardroom for house and corporation board meetings R Enhanced study area R Updated chapter awards room R Additional laundry area on the third floor While we have significantly enhanced the functionality and safety of the chapter house with these projects, our work is not done yet. With total project expenses at more than $3.3 million, we must now work together to reduce the debt on the shoulders of our undergraduate members. We still have much more room for alumni participation and contributions toward our campaign goal. Phase II of the Building on a Tradition of Excellence campaign is here! We need to make one last push to raise additional funds to put Gamma Theta on a solid financial foundation. You can help us achieve this goal by making a gift TODAY. Your gift could be the difference in us hitting $3.225 million. We hope that we will have your support in this secondary GAMMA THETA CELEBRATES RENOVATED CHAPTER HOUSE DEDICATION Building on a Tradition of Excellence Campaign to Continue Chapter President Sam Jensen '14 and Vice President Sam Elliott '14 cutting the ribbon at the house dedication ceremony in September. Whether you've made a pledge previously or have been waiting on the sidelines, it's time to revisit where you stand with the chapter and what difference you want to make in its future. If you've already committed, please consider adding an additional year to your pledge or reaching out to a brother whose name you don't see on the donor list. If you made a multiyear pledge to the capital campaign, thank you. If you have an unpaid balance on your pledge, we ask that you please ensure you continue payment on your commitment. It is essential we receive every dollar pledged so Gamma Theta Chapter can continue to thrive at UNL for years to come. If you have not made a gift yet, don't delay any longer—now is the time to make a difference.
